Program
Goal:
To reward
FFA Chapter activity in encouraging cattle offerings through Cactusfeeders.com.
Program
Protocol:
FFA Chapters
in Kansas, Texas, and Oklahoma are eligible to win $1500 or $1000
to be used for FFA Chapter activities at the discretion of the
local FFA advisor.
The two categories
for which awards will be made are (1). The most number of cattle
offered from a designated chapter and (2). The most number of
offerings from a designated chapter.
The top two chapters in the three-state area, receiving the most
points in each category, during the contest period will receive
the award. (See details below)
Eligibility:
The participating
FFA Chapters must be in good standing with state FFA administrative
requirements.
Cattlemen
wishing to designate an FFA chapter for credit must include the
chapter's name and chapter number (consisting of 2 digits for
state and 4 digits for number)
in the appropriate section of the
web site.
Winner
Designations and Notification:
Cactus Feeders
will monitor FFA chapter designations and record points appropriately
as cattle offerings are received. Cactus Feeders will notify winning
chapters. Prize money will be sent directly to the advisors of
the winning chapters.
DETAILS
OF THE COUNTRY CATTLE CONNECTION PROGRAM

All
cattle offerings must be made via the Cactus Feeders web-site,
cactusfeeders.com |
| 2. |
The
minimum offering is a 44,000 to 50,000 lbs. load of all one
sex |
| 3. |
Cattle
must be reasonably priced (based on current market conditions)
by owner of cattle, when contacted by Cactus Feeders representative |
| 4. |
Each
offering must contain both chapter name and chapter identification
(consisting of 2 spaces for state and 4 digits for number) |
| 5. |
Program
period runs from March 19,2001 to May 15,2001. |
| 6. |
The
two categories for which awards will be made are (1). The
most number of cattle offered from a designated chapter and
(2). The most number of offerings from a designated chapter. |
| 7. |
An "offering"
means the e-mail sent with cattle to sell. Cattle offered
by one owner divided up into numerous e-mail offerings will
be aggregated into only one "offering" for contest
purpose. |
| 8. |
A chapter
can win only one category. That means even if they had the
most head and the most "offerings" they will win
only the head count category. |
| 9. |
All
decisions of the judges will be final. |
